Home-Delivery Options
Hot, nutritious meals are typically delivered daily Monday through Friday. Frozen meals are available for weekends, holidays and other closure days.

Clients choose their delivery schedule (minimum of three meals per week). They also may choose to have a hot meal delivered daily by a friendly volunteer or choose a combination of hot meals and frozen meals delivered on the days that work best for them.

Nutritious frozen meals are available to seniors living in rural areas outside of the local Meals on Wheels delivery area.  Ten or fourteen meal packs are delivered in the counties of Aitkin, Itasca, Lake and St. Louis County.

Our volunteers personally greet and get to know each person when they deliver the fresh, hot meals. Older adults enjoy the friendly, personal interaction which for many is the only person they see or speak to all day.

Family members gain peace of mind in knowing that someone is checking on their loved one daily. If the delivery volunteer notices anything of concern, family members are notified.

Waivered Meals
AEOA Meals are available to individuals through the Elderly Waiver (EW), Alternative Care (AC) and the Minnesota Community Access for Disability Inclusion Waiver (CADI) programs. They provide services and support for people to live in their homes or a community setting. County social service case workers can call to get started, please complete the form and submit it via fax to 218.735-6960.

Good Food at an Affordable Price
To help offset costs, the program sends out contribution statements requesting a suggested contribution of $4.50 for each meal. No one is denied service because of the inability to pay.
